Quinto Crane and Plant Mobile Crane candidate Rob Paul passes CPCS test

Posted by & filed under CPCS Training, Crane Hire, Training.

Congratulations to Rob Paul, who passed his CPCS A60 Mobile Crane tests today.

The CPCS Test

Rob started the day at 0815 with his CPCS theory test, and achieved a fantastic 168 out of 174.  His test took a little under 1 hour, and Rob’s tester commented on his thorough understanding and excellent knowledge.  Once the theory was out of the way, Rob nervously headed over to the CPCS practical test area.  He completed the practical test in 2 hours, competently demonstrating his skills throughout all of the tasks.  After derigging he returned to the office for a feedback session and to find out his test result.

The Result

Full feedback was given by the tester on all areas of Robs test.  This allows him to understand what areas he performed well in, as well as points to work on in future.  A CPCS technical test achievement letter was then presented to Rob.  This will be used to show he has passed his test until his shiny new CPCS trained operator card arrives in the post.

The Support

When the excitement dies down and Rob starts heading out in his crane, he will initially only work on Quinto Contract Lifts.  This means he will be accompanied by a Quinto Crane Supervisor and Slinger Signaller.  Our team can support him while he builds up his confidence on the machine.  After a period of time on Contract Lifts Rob will be sent out to CPA Crane Hires where he will be on hire to a customer working to their method statement and instructions.  You can find out more about the differences between Contract Lifts and CPA Crane Hires by clicking here.

The Team

All of the team at Quinto are extremely proud of Rob and the effort he has put into his CPCS Mobile Crane training. We are looking forward to supporting him as he gains more skills and experience.
